Project 365 - Day 101: After the Dance...

...we paid for it with two grumpy kids! But here they are on a quiet moment in their "lean -to" having an afternoon snack! Things were much improved at that point!

Project 365 - Day 100: The Barn Dance!!

Woot! Day 100!

So today was the day of the Barn Dance, finally and Tana (and I) have been looking forward to this for quite some time. Tana's teacher Mrs Bunkowsky is in a band. A family band and they were having a barn dance and we bought tickets to go. The band is called Legacy and the barn dance was totally awesome! I mean, how often do you get to dance on stage with your teacher?

Project 365 - Day 99: Spring Fling!

It was the annual Spring Fling at school and back by popular demand was the Jar Bar. Kids bring in jars filled with goodies and for 2 tickets ($1.00) they get to take a random jar home. There were about 140 some odd jars to be taken home and Tana was first in line to get a jar and was not happy with the jar she got. She ended up trading jars later for something that was more to her liking!

Project 365 - Day 98:

Sigh. I spent the afternoon at the eye doctor's office checking my eye yet again so no fancy pictures. But this here's the Gags Unlimited car from the store of the same name! Exciting, I know! :-)

Project 365 - Day 97: Soccer, Of Course!

Because my life is all about soccer, these days!

Project 365 - Day 96: New Du!

He wanted it spiky, he got it spiky! My boy and his long overdue haircut! Lookin' good, buddy!

Project 365 - Day 95: New Hobby

For a kid who turned her nose up at Project 365 when I first mentioned it, she sure asks to be the picture of the day quite often and today was no exception. Here she is engaged in her newest hobby, knitting which her Cha Cha taught her. She's making a scarf apparently and so far, she's quite gung ho about it. Hopefully that intensity lasts!

Project 365 - Day 84: Dinner Anyone?

Our dining room table has the unfortunate habit of becoming a catch all far too often. The kids various school prjects, bills, recipes and other odds and sods. Tomorrow I vow to clean it off so its not such a mess! Its on my To Do list!

Project 365 - Day 83: Bugs?

I love random nature/animal shots. Here's a bunny we saw while walking back to our car from Don Pedro's on Saturday night.

Project 365 - Day 82: Lower Fort Garry

Took the day off work to go to Lower Fort Garry with my daughter's class. Although a field trip is exhausting, it is soooo worth the price of admission to go. The kids are a total riot! I took tooo many pictures and had to pick one for today! We even managed to avoid the first thunderstorm of the season while at the Fort - it just rained on us while coming back on the bus! Good times!

Project 365 - Day 81: Mamma-Cita!

Me and my boy. He's got this nickname for me, he calls me Mamacita. Don't know where he picked it up from, but its really cute to hear him call me that.

Project 365 - Day 80: A Tana Shot!

Some good pics to choose from today but I chose one that Tana took of her brother. He plunked himself down on the couch to read a Froggy book all on his own!

Project 365 - Day 79: Always Fresh, Always...

Tim Horton's!

Its May 19th. We should be having cold drinks while watching the kids play soccer and not doing a Tim Hortons run. It was frickin' freezing outside!

Project 365 - Day 78: Spicy?

This picture was taken after my son said something particularly funny. He said "My bum is spicy" - whatever that means and I just thought it turned out to be a nice picture of him. He's not smiling his "goofy" smile or half closing his eyes. Good one, Gav!

Project 365 - Day 77: Hangin' Out!

Had a lot of good pictures to choose from today but I liked this one the best. It looks like she's not even on the tree but she is! Her thing is to race up the trees in the yard and then come back down. She's gonna go too far one time and won't be able to get down! Or the length of her leash will reach its limit! :-)

Project 365 - Day 76: Penchant for Paper!

I love scrapbooking supplies but I really have a penchant for paper! I *love* paper - all kinds of paper especially patterned paper. I have a real fondness for heritage and school papers. So last night while at a girlfriend's scrapping, we had show and tell. Here's a sampling of some of the paper my friend received in one of her kits. Its a good thing maybe that I don't have unlimited funds to spend on scrap stuff otherwise I'd have more paper than I'd ever know what to do with.

Project 365 - Day 75: Bedtime Stories

After a game of bowling (which I'd promised my son) and supper at Subway, we rented a movie (which I'd promised my daughter). We got said movie in the picture and I found it to be quite entertaining. Not an Oscar winner but a few good laughs and good times snuggling on the couch with my kids!

Project 365 - Day 74: ECWL

So today I started my "class". Its called Everyone Can Write A Little with Cathy Zielske and so far, I'm really digging it so it stands to reason it would be my picture of the day! I think some of us were tweeting so much today that we killed it for a while! Come, join us. Registration is open for a week yet!

Project 365 - Day 73: Chess Anyone?

Tana's apparently learned to play chess at school with the chess club (though I'm suspect on the whole "rules" thing that she's learned) and now she's obsessed with wanting to play. Her Dad dug out his chess set and she played a few games. She's quite excited about the whole thing and it looks like I'll be learning chess in the near future.

Project 365 - Day 72: Need A Bag?

Here's Boots crammed into Gavin's school ziploc bag! She gets into everything!

Project 365 - Day 71: Let's Go Geocrashing!

And that's exactly what we did. Blew off work this afternoon (Monday) to go caching with MHz. It was a beautiful day and the weather forecast was, well, forecasting crap so we took the opportunity go grab a few caches. Headed out to Headingley to experience the Headingley Grand Trunk Trail and found this bridge near one of our cache finds. We managed to find 8 caches, including a few of the Trove Chasers bowling caches! Suh-weet!

Project 365 - Day 70: Happy Mother's Day

The highlight of the day had to be Gavin finally learning to ride his bike with no training wheels! All it takes is a school yard and away we go. Way to go Gav! Proud of you and now I can look forward to real bike rides with the kids. Woot!

Project 365 - Day 69: Swimming!

Here's my girl at her swimming lesson on Saturday. Slowly she's learning the proper technique and this lesson is going much better than the one she was enrolled in a few years ago. She really likes it (and it helps that a friend is in it with her).

Project 365 - Day 68: D'oh!

A reminder to bring my camera when I go out. I missed a bunch of good photo ops because of it!

Project 365 - Day 67: My New Toy!

It came in the mail today! Whee! Can't wait to try it out and not get frustrated while caching!

Project 365 - Day 66: All Soccer, All The Time!

Although you can't tell, we're at Gavin's soccer game and underneath the pink blanket is Tana. She was playing her DS. Gavin's team won 6-0. he scored one goal!

Project 365 - Day 65: Please Place Your Item in the Bag!

The self check unit at Superstore. While Superstore is not always my favorite place to be, I *love* the self check unit. Except these units at the Bison Drive location do not accept cash. Go figure.

Project 365 - Day 64: For Sam!

A nice picturesque spot in St Vital Park while out caching with dani_carriere and Junglehair! This one's for you, Sam!

Project 365 - Day 63: Coach!

My life is consumed by soccer these days (in case you haven't noticed) and my kids are at the center of it all. Tonight (Sunday) they were outside playing and Tana was teaching Gavin some skills, including how to do a proper throw in. I could hear them from inside the house, it was really cute and he was thrilled she was playing with him. He's a little obsessed lately.

Project 365 - Day 62: National Scrapbooking Day!

Here's a picture of the loot I came home with after going on a shopping spree to The Scrapbook Cottage today in honor of National Scrapbooking Day. To see more particulars about this outing, visit my other blog at Just T!

Project 365 - Day 61: We Love Babies!

Love babies! Sometimes I think I should have had more but then they grow up and with other people's babies, well you can give them back!:-)
